Why is it so important to maintain the microbial life of the soil? Isn’t it the bacteria and fungi that infect my plant and make it sick?

Well, the answer to this last question is both yes and no. Of course, there are pathogenic bacteria and fungi that cause plant diseases such as root rot, etc. They are almost always present, but not always creating problems. This is because they need a number of conditions to do so. In order to prevent their proliferation and the associated problems, you need to maintain the root environment at an optimum state. Good oxygenation will do most of the work, and to achieve this, manage irrigation correctly and avoid waterlogging is key.

But we must not forget the beneficial micro-organisms.

Which is the role of beneficial bacteria? There are many!

• Improving plant nutrition.

I’m the liquid bloom fertiliser of this range called VGN 1-4-4. My main characteristic? I’m powerful yet balanced, and also the perfect companion for my mates, the basic nutrients.”


VGN 1-4-4 will provide the extra phosphorus and potassium that plants need during the flowering and ripening phase.
It will feed the plants while supporting a thriving ecosystem beneath the surface . Like the rest of VGN products, all ingredients on VGN 1-4-4 are checked by Control Union and approved for Organic Farming.

I’m the CALMAG supplement that will help you get rid of Ca/Mg deficiencies by supplying these elements. I combine great with the rest of the members of the team.”


Usually, the exact composition of the tap water we use is uncertain. We cannot rely on it as the only source of calcium and magnesium. If you grow with soft tap water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis, then the use of calcium and magnesium supplements is almost mandatory.

As you know, Calcium and Magnesium are vital elements for cell walls, cell production and photosynthesis. Everything a plant needs for robust growth and successful flowering!

This product blends the finest ingredients, checked by Control Union and approved for Organic Farming. All without introducing nitrogen! VGN CALMAG will not change the NPK ratio of your nutrient solution. Use it to correct solution imbalances and deficits in an easy, accurate, and natural way.

*All the dosages are ml per 1 litre of tap and rainwater.

To prepare the mixture, simply follow these steps:

1. Fill your watering can halfway with this water.
2. Add the desired amount of fertiliser.
3. Fill up the rest of the watering can with tap or rainwater.
4. Your solution is now ready to use!

A consideration to bear in mind is that all the dosages above are just indications! The exact dosage will depend on different things like plant type and condition, environment, and lightning. Also, it is worth to note that these fertilisers, due to their organic nature are less suitable for irrigation systems because they can cause odours & biofilm.


How do I keep my VGN fertilisers in better condition for longer? Storage and usage tips.
Getting the most out of your new VGN fertilisers also means make them they last longer in the best conditions. This is why our storage and preservation tips are important. It’s as easy as following these recommendations:

• Transport and store them upright! This is very important because due to the organic nature of these liquids, we have included vented caps. Vent caps prevent pressure changes in the bottle. You must keep the bottle in an upright position to prevent the cap from clogging and malfunctioning.
• Kept away from direct sunlight and stored between 15°C and 25°C. Some ingredients are sensitive to sunlight and higher temperatures will negatively impact the shelf life of the product. Unopened bottles can be kept for a long time, when opened you can extend the shelf life by storing the opened bottle in cold storage between 5°C and 10°C, if possible.
• Always remember to shake well before using. Some ingredients can settle at the bottom of the bottle after standing for a long time.
• Use clean utensils to keep them free of contaminants and keep them in tip-top condition for longer!
